Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down and cracked his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Then up Jack got, and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper.
They put him to bed and plastered his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
I Saw an Old Man
I saw an old man put shells in his pocket,
And up to the sky he went like a rocket,
But what he did there I could not but wonder,
As while I yet looked I thought I heard thunder.
"Old fellow, old fellow, old fellow," cried I,
"Oh whither, oh whither, oh whither so high?"
"The moon is green cheese, which I go to bring,
One half is for you, the rest for the king!"
